        • What is an Earthship?

An Earthship is a type of house built with natural and recycled materials, with energy conservation in mind. It is designed to produce energy, water and food for its own use.

        • An Earthship is a type of passive solar house that is made of both natural and upcycled materials. Several models exist, and can be built in any part of the world, in any climate and provide electricity, potable water, contained sewage treatment and sustainable food production. Choose your favorite model.

Look what our graduates have done!

Meet Bill Ayers. He is an Earthship Academy graduate and that he attended two phases of the Aguada, Puerto Rico project.

For the month of October 2016 I attended the Earthship Biotecture Academy in Taos, NM. In 2018 I completed my field study requirement by attending the first two phases of the Earthship Biotecture build in Puerto Rico. July 2019 we purchased 7 acres of raw land in North East Kansas and began building and developing our land with the end goal of having a self sustainable homestead with a food forest and an Earthship inspired home. I now do tours of our property as my independent study requirement to graduate from the Earthship Biotecture program.

Academy classes, labs, tours, and hands-on construction techniques are led by top Earthship builders, electricians, plumbers, and plant specialists.

World class education for those who are excited to learn and live the Earthship philosophy and help expand it globally. The Earthship Academies happen several times a year in Taos, and in different countries (International Academies).
