If we’re able to build a zero-waste/carbon community on an island, couldn’t this become a sustainable model for the rest of the world? Indonesia is the third largest emitter of greenhouse gases and, as in many other parts of Asia and the rest of the world, also experiences the downside of fast growth and climate change. Water and air pollution, income disparities, increased rates of diseases and extreme weather events are just some of those negative externalities.
The participation fee is $2,000 per person for the month and includes two meals a day - lunch and dinner and camping facilities on the island.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation.
A tropical Earthship will emerge, people will be trained, Q&A sessions and four lectures on the Six Earthship Principles will take place, snorkeling and coral exploration will happen and a virgin island will begin to support human life while that human life begins to support the island.
